SMS AV (Authentication & Verification) is a patent pending
server-based module that permits the sending of secure SMS without
modification to SIM cards. Messages are encrypted when sent to
recipients and can only be retrieved with the correct password
send from their cell phone (caller id is used). This ensures that
only the targeted recipient can read the message and eliminates
non-repudiation problems, as the sender will be notified of successful
decryption. The application is carrier independent and does not
require any modifications to the mobile hardware, service or SIM
card.
In addition, encrypted messages may be sent inside multi-media messaging service (MMS) pictures,
using steganography techniques. An image of a person can be used to verify an identity, while at the
same time embedded content in the image can be used to transmit information.
This product is totally carrier independent, and is suitable
for any business intending to provide m-commerce or secure SMS
services.
